MILWAUKEE, Wis. – December 21, 2007 – Rexnord LLC announced today that its affiliate, Zurn Industries, LLC has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the stock of GA Industries, Inc. for a cash purchase price of $76 million. The acquisition is expected to close in the first calendar quarter of 2008 and will expand Rexnord’s strategic water management platform, which was created with the company’s acquisition of Zurn Industries in February, 2007. Rexnord anticipates funding the acquisition within its existing credit facilities.

The Eco Vantage faucet line is geared for LEED focused projects and those installations that specify battery powered faucets. The advantage of the Eco Vantage faucet is its 10 year battery life. As the Eco Vantage faucet is used water is routed through the hydro generator and past an internal turbine. While the turbine spins, electrical energy is created and stored in a rechargeable/replaceable battery. The hydro generator virtually provides a self-sustaining system for approximately 10 years. Eco Vantage faucets come with a choice of 5 different spout models. Eco Vantage faucets are covered with a 3-year warranty. The hydro generator will retrofit existing Zurn EZ battery faucets.

Zurn Commercial Brass Products, Sanford, N.C. introduces it new Z6918 and Z6918-ADM sensor faucets to the industry. The faucets are all brass construction and have a European flare to their styling. One feature to the Z6918’s design is all of the components is located within the faucet spout. With all operating components in the spout the faucet is very easy to install and ideal for those installations that could be prone to vandalism. The faucets can be powered either by a (VDC battery, a plug-in power adapter or by hardwiring). Expected battery life on 50,000 cycles per year is 4 year. The z6918-ADM faucet is furnished with a integral mixing dial which allows the user to choose between tempered water for hand washing or cold water for drinking.
